Greetings Parents and Guardians:
We have put in place a system to safely and orderly receive your children in the morning and dismiss them in the afternoon. The system includes a contingency plan for inclement weather. Please observe the system and allow us to execute the plan. This will ensure your children enter and exit our school efficiently, safely and effectively.
The chart below shows the entry and dismissal door according to grade level. This procedure will begin Monday, September 13th.
For the opening week: September 8th, 9th, and 10th, all students will assemble on the playground in the morning according to their grade level. The teachers will organize their classes and bring them into the building.
In the case of inclement weather, students will enter Doors 3 and Door 2 regardless of grade level and will be directed to the location where their teachers will meet them. (This procedure is in effect only the first week of school.)
Please note that school will be dismissed ½ day at 12:30 p.m. on September 8th, 9th, and 10th. So please be prepared to pick up your child/children early on those days. The dismissal procedure as outlined above is in effect beginning September 8th. In the case of inclement weather, grades K and 1 will be dismissed from the gym instead of the playground. Grade 2 students who do not walk will dismiss from the cafeteria. Grades 3-5 will dismiss out of their respective doors as regular.
Also note that we are still observing Covid-19 protocols and mandates. Therefore, students must wear a mask to school each day. I thank you for your cooperation and attention to this matter.
