Dear Parents/Guardians:
The faculty and staff at Irvington Public Schools strive to foster and nurture collaboration with parents in order to give students the very best educational experience. As such, it is essential that you are aware of your rights and responsibilities. In addition to this letter, the 1. Rights of Parents and 2. The Title I-District Wide Parental Involvement Policies are posted on our district website: www.irvington.k12.nj.us/school-parent-compact. Please review these documents and address any questions/concerns to your child’s principal.
Parental involvement is essential in order to help us fulfill our vision of “Building Our Community One Student at a Time. The Irvington Public Schools will partner with parents to provide ongoing feedback regarding the effectiveness of services provided to students. Quarterly forums, community meetings, parent surveys, the District website, School Messenger, and Public Access Channel 36 are some of the ways in which the District will seek to communicate and receive feedback from parents and community stakeholders.
We look forward to partnering with you to ensure the continued success of our scholars.
Sincerely,
Dr. April A. Vauss
Superintendent of Schools
