Dear Parent/Guardian,

In spring 2026, your child participated in the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments-Adaptive (NJSLA-A) in English language arts (ELA) and/or mathematics and, if applicable, the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment-Science (NJSLA-S). The NJSLA-A measures the knowledge and skills expected at your child’s grade level. The NJSLA-S measures students’ understanding and application of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Science.

Your child’s Individual Student Report (ISR) is enclosed. The report provides the student’s overall scale score and performance level and identifies areas of strength and areas where additional support may be beneficial. These results should be reviewed together with classroom performance, local
assessment data, and other measures of student learning.

The New Jersey Department of Education advised that districts would receive the paper NJSLA-A and NJSLA-S Individual Student Reports no later than October 9, 2026. Parents and guardians must receive the reports no later than November 9, 2026. Results will be available in the New Jersey Family
Portal on September 28, 2026.

To access the New Jersey Family Portal at https://nj-familyportal.cambiumast.com, enter the access code shown on the ISR, your child’s first name, and your child’s date of birth. The portal includes assessment results, explanations of performance levels, frequently asked questions, a glossary of
assessment terms, and family resources.

For additional information, please visit the NJDOE assessment webpage at https://nj.gov/education/assessment/ adaptive or the Students and Families section of the New Jersey Assessments Portal at https://nj.portal.cambiumast.com/

If you have questions about your child’s results, please contact your child’s school. Thank you for your
continued partnership in supporting your child’s learning.

Sincerely,

Dr. April Vauss
