Public Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Irvington Township School District in the County of Essex for the furnishing of the hereinafter described labor, material and equipment for the Construction Of New Bathrooms at The Grove Street Elementary School, and opened and read in public in the Irvington Board of Education offices, 1 University Place, 4th Floor Board Conference Room, Irvington, NJ 07111, at 10:00 AM on WEDNESDAY, 27.MAY,2026.
Electronic Drawing and Specifications will be available for DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY. DIGITAL DOWNLOAD of Bid Documents will be available on or after WEDNESDAY, 13.MAY.2026. All Bid document requests must be emailed to adavis@oca-archplan.com. ONSITE PICK UP WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. Bid Document Requests received after 3pm on business days or on weekends and holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Prospective Bidders are highly encouraged to make site visits prior to submitting bid proposals. Site visits may be arranged by contacting Sean Evans (Assistant Superintendent Of Operations) at 973.885.5412. There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on Tuesday, 19.MAY.2026 at 10:00AM at the offices of the Irvington Board of Education, 1 University Place, 4th Floor Board Conference Room, Irvington NJ 07111. Attendance at the Pre-Bid conference is not mandatory but highly recommended. The meeting will start promptly at 10:00 AM, and duration will be one (1) hour max.
This is a fast-track project with on-site construction required to begin immediately after the last day of classes for the 2026 Summer Break, and to be concluded prior to the start of the 2026 Fall Session.
The Irvington Board of Education reserves the right to reject any bid that does not conform to the specifications. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms in the manner designated by the specifications; must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder, the contract being bid indicated on the outside thereof; and addressed and delivered to the Irvington Board of Education, 1 University Place, Irvington, NJ 07111. Proposals will be accepted prior to the opening date in person, or they may be submitted by registered mail, certified mail, or special delivery, in advance of the opening proposal date.
The Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidders. Irvington Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids within the parameters of external law, and to waive non-material informalities in any bid in such a manner as shall, in the judgment of Irvington Board of Education, be deemed in the best interest of this school district, all in conformity with the law.
Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq. pertaining the Public School Contracts Law. All bidders are placed on notice that they are required to comply with all requirements of P.L. 1975, Chapter 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27).
