In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Department of Operations is also responsible for facilitating districtwide initiatives that develop and support our educators and leaders. These include the annual Administrators’ Retreat, New Teacher Orientation, New Teacher Monthly Meetings, Teacher Mentorship, ongoing professional development opportunities, and conducting necessary investigations to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
Our work extends beyond daily operations to include strategic projects that expand opportunities for students and families. Recent initiatives include the development of the Ana B. Scott Jr. STEAM Academy, the launch of a state-of-the-art Culinary Lab, and the creation of innovative partnerships with Hudson Community College, among others.
