When the Irvington Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather the Irvington Fire Department will sound an alarm at 6:30a.m. and again at 7:00a.m. This notifies the township that the school district is closed for the day. Please do not call the Police or Fire Department.

In the event that inclement weather or other emergency necessitates the closing or delaying the opening of schools, every effort will be made to posted an announcement on this website by 6:30 a.m. as well as an automated telephone message sent to parents. (please confirm with the school's register clerk your correct home telephone number)
